Cedar building
Our corporate head office is situated in Cumulus Park, Amsterdam’s innovation district in the south-east of the city. The five-storey building has a glass facade and is named after the Cedar tree, symbolising sustainability and growth. Its framework, with its layered branches and open spaces in between, is characteristic of a Cedar.
Designed by Benthem Crouwel architects, the building was awarded the highest sustainability rating due to its re-use of materials during construction and its low waste and energy consumption.
It comprises two office blocks connected by a bridge and with an atrium in each, where stairways and platforms, designed by interior architects HofmanDujardin, invite people to meet and collaborate.
Cumulus Park
Cumulus Park is an innovation district where businesses, academics and innovators can work together in an open and creative environment that stimulates invention and empowers sustainable solutions for a better future. The district includes five ING buildings, as well as restaurants, sports facilities, labs and green spaces.
It’s a collaboration between ING, the city of Amsterdam, ROC college and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. The development of Cumulus Park will continue until 2024.
