SmartObjects enable programmers to add Crestron-designed or custom-designed controls, user presets, and metadata interfaces for everything from simple keypads to complex media devices and environmental systems.
In most cases SmartObjects can be designed and configured within the Touch Screen Designer project with no other additional programming necessary. However, if it is desired to provide additional control, the SmartObject can be programmed as a device extender in Program Designer.
